In any case come what may, in terms of the govt./police etc, this time around there will be no question of postponement because we have all decided to fight it out The Effort is clearly to create a nationwide campaign on Gujarat and in the process build up a democratic and secular peoples alternative to the fascist onslaught. The convention would endeavor to chalk out strategies for relief/rehabilitation, legal initiatives, sustained campaigns for public opinion and resistance on Gujarat and the upcoming battle on Ayodhya. Certain organizations have already come forward and decided to follow up this process in their respective regions and states in terms of organizing similar convention in terms of creating a broad alliance to fight the fascist and imperialist onslaught.
